Royal Exhibition Building

Not only were we able to see the outside of the Royal Exhibition Building, but we were able to enjoy an exhibition inside it. The Finders Keepers Market, an arts and crafts exhibition (think Etsy in person and on steroids), was being held all weekend with an entry fee of just $2. The beautiful, historical inside was filled with over one hundred stalls where designers were selling their classy, quality, handmade products. Jewelry, clothing, terrariums, pottery, and wood products were very popular. We splurged and bought an amazing tomato kaffir lime chutney that we promptly used on some omelets we made for dinner. The chutney was extra cool because it was "rescued". This means that bruised, misshapen, or unsold (but still good) products were used in it rather than going to waste.

Beautiful architecture inside

Tons of arts and crafts stalls and people

There was an outdoor area with several food trucks

We split a cajun chicken po'boy for lunch

It was a really fun, unique experience that we'll remember as we savor our chutney in the days to come!
